The Trail Pot Submits First Charity Accounts, Marking Key Early Milestone
The Trail Pot, the UK’s National Mountain Bike Development Fund, has submitted its first set of accounts to the Charity Commission, marking an important step in the charity’s embryonic development and governance.
Founded to support grassroots mountain biking projects and help communities secure funding for trail maintenance and development, the charity was established to address the long-standing funding challenges faced by volunteer trail groups across the UK.
While the charity’s first accounts reflect its early stage and modest financial scale, the submission represents a significant organisational milestone. It confirms that the charity is operational, compliant, and building the foundations required for long-term growth and impact.
Founder Chris Maloney says:
“It’s very early days for us and these first accounts are an important step in showing that The Trail Pot is real, structured, and here for the long term. Our aim is to grow a national fund that can support responsible trail development and the volunteers who make mountain biking possible. Now, we simply need the support, no matter how modest. It will make a significant difference.”
The charity is currently focused on expanding awareness, building partnerships, and growing its funding base in order to support projects across the UK.
